Adult education at Apollo Career Center has received grant money from the Ohio Department of Higher Education.

Apollo has been awarded $71,000 through the Short-Term Technical Certificate Grant. That money will be going towards students that are enrolled in five different short-term certificate programs at Apollo.
Careers in these fields are in high demand, and those with Apollo say this grant will help their students get into one of these fields.

"They’re able to use the grant money and go right into an industry that have a slew of jobs," said Tara Shepherd, adult director for Apollo. "Right now we know that there’s a lot of jobs everywhere, but these are the ones that are really in demand now and are going to continue to grow over the next five to ten years."
