76 seniors committed to their post-graduation plans, including enlisting in the military, attending college or entering the workforce.

Students were joined by family members, educators and representatives from the organizations they will soon be a part of, marking the transition from classroom to career. In total, about 450 Apollo students are set to graduate in the coming weeks, carrying with them the skills they have built over the past two years.

“We use the term ‘next ready.’ We do that because we’re trying to be that bridge to help them get to that next part of their life,” said Nick Sammetinger, principal of Apollo Career Center. “Whether it’s skills to go to college or the critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the workforce or entrepreneurship, it’s really an opportunity to fine-tune skills and have a step in the right direction in their life.”

Apollo seniors are scheduled to graduate May 20 at the Elida Fieldhouse.
