A jet that broke many records as well as had a famous pilot has now been officially presented to the Armstrong Air and Space Museum.

The Learjet was unveiled to the community as part of the museum's 50th-anniversary ceremony. The jet once housed Neil Armstrong after his adventure on the moon and thus broke many records with it, such as total altitude in a horizontal flight. Museum officials say that the Learjet will not cost anything to view for Wapakoneta residents and beyond.

"It's been a two-year process and then finally we have finally here today the interpretation up, we have the pedestal and grounds ready," stated Logan Rex, Armstrong Air and Space Museum curator. "So yeah, like we said, I mean this is the only jet that Neil Armstrong set world aviation records in and we are finally able to help and show this to the public."
The museum also received a proclamation from Ohio Representative Susan Manchester.
