The Auglaize County Junior Fair Board has selected a new king and queen for its 2018 royalty.
Five girls and five boys were in the running to become this year's king and queen. Joanna Frankenberg of New Bremen was chosen to be the new queen and Evan Aufderhaar of St. Marys is the new king. Both have been active with 4-H for many years and will be ruling over the different activities at the fair. They say they are excited to represent Auglaize County as the new Junior Fair Board king and queen and they hope others will do the same in the future.
"I'm just so happy. I need to stop crying but I'm filled with joy to be the Auglaize County queen. I feel I can represent this county so well," says Joanna Frankenberg.
"It's like excitement overcame me feels like everything I've done has paid off in the past and everything I've taught everybody and just hope that everybody can be a leader like me when they grow up," says Evan Aufderhaar.
Joining Evan and Joanna as royalty are the runner's up for king and queen, Laura Wilker of New Bremen and Evan Vogel of St. Marys. Â
