WAPAKONETA, OHIO (WLIO) - With the rising interest of marketing in teens, many wonder how to gain experience for their career. Luckily, at the Auglaize County Fairgrounds, there is a solution.
The Auglaize County Fair Ambassador Program is a hands-on internship for students ages 12 to 18 interested in marketing, social media, photography, videography, and event planning. These ambassadors will work with the fair staff and board to create content for the fair’s social media pages during fair week.
This program will give students an in-depth look into the marketing field, as well as providing professional connections, building real-world skills, and portfolio training.
Each intern will receive a seasonal pass and a nice T-shirt to represent their program.
"The most important part is that they're going to get extreme experience in all things marketing and social media. And, we are also happy to provide letters of recommendation to any college if they decide to go in that field as well," says Jessica Grice, Assistant Manager/Marketing Lead, Auglaize County Fairgrounds, Wapakoneta.
The sparked passion of marketing and social media is only increasing, and the Fairgrounds are extending this opportunity to students grades 7th-12th. She encourages any person interested to fill out an application, which can be found on their website, or on their on-site location at 1001 Fairview Dr, Wapakoneta, Ohio 45895.
