AUGLAIZE COUNTY, Ohio (WLIO) - Reconstruction of the I-75 rest areas in Auglaize County is set to begin on Monday, July 7th, with both northbound and southbound facilities closing for a complete overhaul.

The rest areas, located just north of the State Route 67 exit near Wapakoneta, will close for full replacements, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. The project will feature the construction of new, lodge-style buildings that include larger restrooms, a lobby area with vending machines, and regional tourism information. Plans also call for attached and covered outdoor picnic areas and expanded parking. Construction is expected to be completed in the summer of 2026.
