BATH TWP. ALLEN CO. OH (WLIO) - The Bath Township Fire Department battled a residential house fire earlier Saturday afternoon.
The family was home at the time of the fire but all escaped without injury.
Just after 12:15 pm, Bath firefighters responded to 5250 Reservoir Road, where they found flames and smoke coming out of the rear bedroom of the house. Firefighters put out the flames in about 10 minutes. The family was home at the time of the fire but all escaped without injury. Fire investigators believe the cause of the fire was electrical in nature and have ruled it accidental. The fire also began in the affected bedroom. Officials estimate damage to the house and its contents at around $20,000 with heat, smoke, and water damage. No firefighters were injured on scene.
