Beer Barrel Pizza and Grill breaks into the Columbus market with the opening of their new store.
Beer Barrel has taken their menu down to Hilliard, a city of about 30,000 in Franklin County with many thousands more in the region. Owner John Heaphy says he enjoyed training his 130 new employees for the opening last week.
Heaphy says the success of his other restaurants outside of the Lima market, like Findlay and St. Marys makes him confident that this new location will be a hit. "What's really exciting is the amount of people from our neck of the woods back home that have lived or relocated down here or have family here and have all made a point to come here, there's a lot of pride that there's a Lima product, a Lima brand that's moved into the Columbus market," said Heaphy.Â
Heaphy says they've already had good feedback from customers at the new location.Â
