Students at Lima’s Freedom Elementary School got to bring music and technology together today.
Students from Lima Senior High School's Audio Engineering and Technology program helped the younger students create a musical instrument out of circuit boards. It is part of the district's blended learning where classes can integrate technology into an everyday class. Friday they were creating a base beat for a piece of music they are creating.
Gabriel Lyle Junior – Audio Engineering and technology LSH says – “Where you put the pieces together in a certain order to where if you have the keyboard in a certain area it will change tones on each of the buttons that you press. You can move octaves on that same keyboard.”
Lyle said helping the younger kids was much more fun than he anticipated.
