Lima, OH (WLIO) - Community members spare a couple of hours Saturday afternoon to have some fun bowling and raise some money for a Lima youth center.
Around 20 teams from local companies and organizations came out to support City Life at Rally Point Youth Center during their 7th annual Bowl-a-Thon fundraiser. The money raised helps them continue their mission to providing 11 to 19-year-olds with Christian-based programming in a safe, positive, and drug-free environment. Organizers are happy to see the community support for their program.
"I think this is a great turnout, beautiful. It always turns out better than you think. It's good to see all these people supporting. The money, the proceeds, 100% of the proceeds goes to serving our community youth,” says Junior Ramos. the Director of City Life at Rally Point Youth Center.
Located at Rally Point Youth Center on North Main St. in Lima, City Life has an after-school program on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays and offers small group bible study with a family style meal on Thursday. For more information, you can visit www.rallyup.org.
