This year the City of Lima will be holding its Beggars Night on Halloween, Thursday, October 31, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. City officials are asking residents to turn their porch lights on if they are handing out candy to make it easy for the children to see. They also ask that motorists be careful when driving during that time.

The Noon Optimists Safety City and the Lima Police Department's are teaming up this year for one big event.
"As they're running from house to house, up and down sidewalks, and across streets, in and out of parked cars, we just want those who are out on the streets driving to pay very close attention," said Ric Stolly, deputy director of Lima Public Works and Parks, Recreation & Forestry.
Parents, please take note that the Noon Optimists Safety City "Trick or Treat" and the Lima Police Department's "Trunk and Treat" are teaming up this year for one big event.
