City of Lima hosting workshops to prepare people for civil service test

LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Most of the 370 job positions in the City of Lima are obtained through a civil service employee selection process and the city is encouraging people to apply.

City of Lima hosting workshops to prepare people for civil service test

The city will be hosting workshops to help break down any barriers that people may have in taking a civil service test. They will go over what positions are open, the application process, and strategies for testing and they will even have sample questions.

"And in these sessions, we're going to talk about how to take the civil service test. If you have anxiety when it comes to test taking we'll talk about strategies that will help you through that. Because the goal of our workshop is to make sure that our constituents of Lima that there are no barriers to being employed with the city," said Della Bradford, human resources director for the City of Lima.

There will be a workshop next Wednesday, February 8th at the Lima Public Library, located at 650 West Market Street. There will be one from 11 a.m. to noon and then another from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Anyone interested in gaining employment with the City of Lima is encouraged to attend. Bradford hopes to hold the workshops monthly.
