January 23, 2024 Press Release from the City of Lima: Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024, the City of Lima launched the new, mobile-responsive website. Through the addition of new quick link icons to the homepage, the new website improves accessibility to information in high demand. Website users now have quick, easy access to pay their water bill, search job opportunities, and find bid opportunities to do business with the city.

In addition to new features and improved navigation, the new website reflects the City of Lima’s refreshed, vibrant brand, including updated photos showcasing life in the Lima community.

The website also uses a new, simplified web address – limaohio.gov. The old web address (cityhall.limaohio.oh.us) will continue to work over the next year, with users being automatically redirected to limaohio.gov.

“The website is a tool that our residents, visitors, and businesses use to interact with the City on a daily basis, so it’s important that our website evolves to meet the needs of the community,” states Mayor Sharetta Smith. “As we look to increase community engagement, we need to offer dynamic content and more timely news to keep our stakeholders informed and engaged.”

The next phase of the branding refresh will be implemented in later 2024 and includes updated email addresses for city employees reflecting the change to @limaohio.gov. For now, city email addresses remain unchanged.

Also coming later this year, additional features will be added to the homepage, including a quick link to parks and recreation that allows users to make shelter reservations and submit online payments. The City of Lima will also be adding a video tour next to the community calendar section to showcase livability and highlight our many places of interest.
