ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - The Allen County Commissioners held an emergency meeting Friday morning to finish up some eclipse business.
Commissioners approved a lease with H.G. Violet for several ATVs and UTVs for Monday's eclipse. The vehicles will be used by emergency management in case an emergency response is needed. The vehicles would be able to maneuver through high-traffic areas easier than larger equipment. Commissioners say that the county is ready for Monday's eclipse.
"EMA Director Berger has worked long, and his staff has worked long to come up with this plan. The entire community is ready for this event," stated Commissioner Brian Winegardner, Allen County.
You can find out more about the eclipse at https://www.allen-ema.com/. The time of totality will be from approximately 3:10 p.m. to 3:14 p.m.
