The Allen County Sheriffs Office getting additional equipment that will give deputies a choice when it comes to the use of force.

"They'll be assigned to them just like they would any other piece of equipment. It will be their responsibility to maintain them at all times and then there's annual training that goes with them, they need to be to recertified each and every year," said Brian Winegardner, Chief Deputy of the Allen County Sheriff's Office.

The purchase of the additional tasers was just over $20,000. The sheriff's office also getting 3 new SUVs as they're phasing out the old Crown Victoria Cruisers. Those at a cost of $84,000.
