Contested Races on Local Ballots for Ohio Primary Election

Outside of the heated competition between presidential candidates, counties around our area have multiple contested races on the ballot for Tuesday's primary election.

In the Republican race for Auglaize County Commissioner, Daniel Lee faces sitting Commissioner Donald Regula.

Over in Putnam County Republicans Nick Gilgenbach and Brian Siefker are vying to be the Republican candidate for the November election. The winner will face independent candidate Dennis Cupp. The late Sheriff Michael Chandler is also on the ballot, but he passed away earlier this year.

Republican Michael Lammers runs for Commissioner against sitting Putnam County Commissioner Travis Jerwers. The winner will face Tony Wobler in November. Current Commissioner Vincent Schroeder competes to hold his seat against Republican Carl Gerten.

In the Republican race for Van Wert County Commissioner are current Commissioner Todd Wolfrum and Staci Kaufman. Current Prosecutor Charles Kennedy and his opponent, Assistant Prosecutor Eva Yarger, are on the Republican ballot to compete for the seat of Van Wert County Prosecutor.

The Republicans running for Commissioner in Hancock County are John Harrington and sitting Commissioner Brian Robertson.
