CELINA, Ohio (WLIO) – A Celina man indicted for attempted murder has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.Â
Samuel Paul, 49, pleaded guilty to two counts of felonious assault. He was originally indicted on six charges, including attempted murder and felonious assault, but the remaining charges were dropped as part of a plea deal.

The charges stem from a shooting in Celina on Nov. 3, in which Paul admitted to shooting his stepson-in-law, Christopher Magnus. Magnus suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was flown to a Dayton hospital for treatment.
Paul is scheduled to be sentenced on March 5.
