LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — A Lima man is representing himself in a trial that began this week in Allen County Common Pleas Court. Leroy "Knowledge" Page, 34, is facing eight charges, including felonious assault, kidnapping and failure to comply.
The charges stem from a home invasion that followed a police chase in October 2022. According to authorities, Lima police were pursuing Page when he crashed his vehicle, fled on foot and allegedly forced his way into a residence on Fraunfelter Road.
Investigators say Page assaulted and seriously injured the homeowners, then forced them to drive him to another location, where he fled on foot once again.
Page was arrested two years later in Nevada and extradited to Allen County to face the charges.
Although he is representing himself, Page will have an attorney available to advise him during the trial.
