0141 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 30 in Tully Township for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Unit One was traveling west bound in the left lane of U.S. Route 30 as the right lane had been shut down due to construction. Unit One was traveling at a speed of 70 MPH near house number 3125. During this time Unit One went out of the lane right, hit a construction barrel, and continued off the right side of the road and went into the ditch. Upon hitting the ditch bank, Unit One sustained a bent and or broken wheel and after hitting the ditch bank Unit One continued along the ditch bank until it hit a fence near the Township number of 3125, which caused damage to the front of the vehicle. Upon speaking with the driver of Unit One she advised that the car veered to the right, and she could not get it to stop and then she hit what she thought was a concrete barrier which I believe was a construction barrel as there was tracks from where there was a barrel missing from the rest leading to the ditch where there was a single construction barrel. It should also be noted that the passenger side curtain air bags were deployed, and the vehicle had to be towed. Unit One was a 2010 Honda Crosstour driven by Asha Reed of Columbus. 0754 hrs. – Deputies along with Willshire Fire and Wren EMS responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Willshire Eastern Road in Willshire Township. Unit One was traveling eastbound on Willshire Eastern Road. According to the driver's statement and evidence found at the scene (tire tracks in grass, crash debris), the driver of Unit One drove slightly off road right and onto the stone berm. The Driver of Unit One turned slightly left to try and get back onto the roadway. This caused him to cross over the center lane, drive across the opposite lane of travel, go off the north side of the road, and sideswipe a power pole. This side of the road had a shallow drainage ditch. Because of the uneven terrain the driver had trouble getting back onto the road. He continued to drive off the side of the road for about 200 feet before being able to get back on the road. The driver got back onto the road and stopped his car along the eastbound lane of the road. Unit One had damage all along the driver's side of the car. All four side air bags deployed.
