Commissioners add that this demolition stage should be done by the end of the week.

The Allen County Commissioners say they are excited to see the first steps taken towards the new administration building and they look forward to the convenience it will bring to county residents with its location near the courthouse.

Commissioners add that this demolition stage should be done by the end of the week.

"The contractors are expecting to start work on the foundation because this building will have a basement, a full basement under it. And so, they're ready to get started as soon as we can finalize a contract. I think by mid-November we're going to see a foundation going in. We expect this building to be operational by August 1st of 2026," Commissioner Beth Seibert said.

After the demolition is wrapped up, the county commissioners will need to pass a resolution to accept a bid for the new building's construction.
