A large tree came down on the west side of Lima, blocking traffic and taking out power of local residents.
The tree came down on Elm Street, near Kenilworth Avenue around 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning. The tree broke off at the roots and took out a power line that provided electricity to over a dozen residents in the area. Crews were on scene quickly to cut up the tree so the road can reopen and American Electric Power can restore power.
