Equipment malfunction causes fire at Dana Incorporated.jpg

Dana Incorporated is now up and running after a fire happened Sunday afternoon.

According to the bath township fire department, the fire began around 11:40 this afternoon in a piece of equipment and had spread to the ceiling of the building. Bath Fire Department Chief Joseph Kitchen said the fire department was able to extinguish the fire within 15 minutes.

The Lima Fire Department also responded with mutual aid with their ladder truck. The plant was fully evacuated. There were no injuries to Dana employees or responding firefighters. The extent of the damage, as well as a cost estimate, are not available at this time.
