Lima City School elementary students were down on the farm today but never left the schoolyard. It was the annual Farm Day at Lima South Science and Technology Magnet School.
Students got the chance to see farm animals for the first time along with farm equipment and even experience a good old fashioned hayride. Principal Chad Fallis says the event gives students a chance to see how principles they are learning at school are used in the agricultural world.
The event is hosted by Allen County 4-H groups and Elida FFA students. More than one thousand Lima Elementary students got to experience life on the farm. This is the 5th year for Farm Days.
