A long-time veterans organization in Findlay is looking for a new home.
The building that's currently occupied by the Disabled American Veterans Buddy Chapter 43 is up for sale.
Members decided it was time to look for a smaller place and one in a less flood prone location. During the 2007 flood there was significant damage to the building. Members replaced what was damaged but that was the beginning of their financial problems since the loss was not fully insured.
Bill Montgomery with the DAV Buddy 43 chapter says they've had to close the canteen entirely.
Montgomery says part of the problem lies in the makeup of their organization, which is not getting any younger.
Montgomery says the asking price for the property is 300 thousand dollars. It's appraised for tax purposes at 370 thousand dollars.
