Findlay Man Pleads Not Guilty By Reason of Insanity In Murder Case

A Findlay man accused of strangling another man to death last month pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity on Wednesday.

34-year-old Joel Drain is charged with aggravated murder, grand theft of a motor vehicle and retaliation. He is accused of strangling 56-year-old Randy Grose, who was found dead in his  home on May 14.

Officials say drain stabbed the victim multiple times in the head and abdomen, and strangled him. And also stole the victim's car.

Drain's defense attorney requested a psychological evaluation.

Drain remains in the Hancock County jail on a $1 million bond.
