76-year-old Sue Barnett has changed her plea as part of an agreement. Barnett pleaded guilty in Allen County Common Pleas Court to theft in office and telecommunications fraud, both third-degree felonies. As part of the agreement, four other charges have been dropped and she may not run for public office or hold public employment. Barnett is the former deputy clerk in Lima Municipal Court, Civil Division. The charges state she stole at least more than $7,500. A restitution hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 5 and a sentencing hearing will follow at a later date.
