LIMA, OH (WLIO) -Â There was no shortage of fun and things to do at Fresh N Faded's 4th annual trunk or treat.
Fresh N Faded staff, other local businesses, and community members came together to make sure that there were plenty of games, prizes, and treats for the kids. After getting their candy and hot chocolate, they could play skill games inside, then go through the haunted house upstairs. Prizes were given for the best Halloween costumes throughout the event and for the best-decorated trunks. Team Outreach Lima is all about giving back to the city, and kids especially.
"I feel that it's special because when I was younger, I took so much from this community. You know, when you become a man, you put away childish things. It's just the smile on their face when they come to one of our events because they know it's going to be over the top. To see the kids smile, and laugh, and have fun and just be kids," said Quincy Peoples, the director of Team Outreach Lima.
"We have the whole community behind us, and the person that really helps out a whole lot is this guy," Team Outreach Lima's Leandra Johnson said of Peoples. "He goes around and he gets a lot of the sponsorship that it takes for us to do what we do along with the community. It means a lot that we have so much support from other businesses because they could go out and do their own thing, but they choose to help us."
Fresh N Faded also hosts several other events a year to support kids in Lima, like their free shoe giveaway and free Easter Egg Hunt.
