LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Some very important students made their way back to the halls of the Lima City Schools on Thursday.

Hall of Fame inductees treated to lunch and speak with students before evening ceremony

Former Lima City School students gave current students some advice.

The 13th class of Lima City School Hall of Fame inductees were treated to a lunch at Spartan Inn and then made a visit to a classroom to talk with students. The induction is being held Thursday evening, and they will also be honored during halftime at Friday night's football game. These former students gave current students some advice, and one inductee's family shared stories about his life.

"Just really proud of him, and to get the notification from the school district that he is being inducted is just really cool," said Elizabeth Mericle Bell and Andree Mericle.

"Decisions that you make have consequences. So make sure you surround yourself with positive people that encourage you to do your best and to be the best that you possible can be at whatever job and/or occupation you desire to move into," stated William Laws, Lima Senior Class of 1970.
