August 12, 2024, Press Release from the Red Tornado Collective: (Findlay, OH, August 12, 2024) – The Hancock County Parkinson's Network is excited to announce the second year of its "Plant Tulips, Grow Hope" Tulip Bulb Fundraiser, running through August. This fundraiser supports the Network's mission of empowering individuals affected by Parkinson's disease and their caregivers through education, programming, and community awareness.
The red tulip, a symbol of Parkinson's awareness, represents hope and solidarity in the fight against Parkinson's disease. These vibrant flowers are a testament to the strength and resilience of those affected by Parkinson's. Scheduled to bloom in April, which is Parkinson's Awareness Month, these tulips serve as a beautiful reminder of our collective efforts to raise awareness and support for the Parkinson's community.
"We're thrilled to offer this opportunity for our community to contribute to a great cause while also beautifying their gardens," said Barb Matheny, founder of the Hancock County Parkinson's Network.
"Even if you've purchased tulip bulbs before, you can never have too many beautiful tulips, so we encourage everyone to purchase more and help spread the message of Parkinson's awareness," said the event's chair and board member, Linda DeArment.Â
