HARDIN COUNTY, Ohio (WLIO) - A Dunkirk man is dead after being ejected from his motorcycle in a crash last night.

The Hardin County Sheriff's Office reports that Joseph Bayliff was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on State Route 309 and County Road 90. Deputies report Bayliff was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on the County Road 90 and left the north side of the road traveling across a drainage ditch and onto 309.

The crash remains under investigation.

HARDIN COUNTY, Ohio - On Thursday, June 12th, 2025 just before 9 PM, The Hardin County Central Dispatch Center received several 9-1-1 calls regarding a motorcycle crash in the area of State Route 309 and County Road 95 in Cessna Township. A 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle being operated by Joseph Bayliff, of rural Dunkirk was traveling Eastbound on County Road 90 when the motorcycle left the North side of the roadway traveling across a drainage ditch and entering onto State Route 309. Mr. Bayliff was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Units assisting on scene were McGuffey Fire Department, Kenton Fire Department, BKP Ambulance District, Multi County Crash Team, Hardin County Coroner, and Osborns Towing. The crash remains under investigation.
