Equipping parents with the means to help their child acquire the early building blocks necessary for long term success is the goal of Help Me Grow of Allen County.
Help Me Grow offers three voluntary programs for parents of children from birth to three years of age. Early Intervention, Home Visits and Maternal Infant Early Child Home Visiting, all designed to help young children who have a disability or are at risk of developing a delay because of family or environmental risks.
The program relies on state funding to provide these services and an Ohio Department of Health Grant for 2016 will ensure these programs can continue. Help Me Grow will be receiving an additional $36,000 in 2016 with a total grant amount of $227,357. The program is under the umbrella of the Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities and the Family and Children First Council.
