Husam Coleman sentenced to five years after taking plea deal

A Chicago man will spend up to 5 years in prison, for the deadly shooting that happened in a Findlay motel in February this past year.

Judge Reginald Routson sentenced 37-year-old Husam Coleman to five years, which was the recommended sentence in the plea deal. The state dropped the charge of murder and one count of having a weapon while under disability, for a charge of voluntary manslaughter for the shooting death of 31-year-old Marcus Alexander of Toledo.

The Findlay Courier states that as part of the plea deal, Coleman will provide information in the cases of 27-year-old Jessica Kisseberth of Leipsic and 27-year-old Joseph Fleming of Toledo. Both were indicted on murder and aggravated robbery in Alexander's death and are awaiting trial on those charges.
