NEW YEAR HIKE
On Sat., Jan. 4 at 9:00 a.m., THE JOHNNY APPLESEED METROPOLITAN PARK DISTRICT will offer a NEW YEAR HIKE at KENDRICK WOODS (971 N. Defiance Trail Lima, OH).
Unwind, recharge, or maybe get a head start on your resolutions as you begin the year on the right foot. Join a naturalist for a brisk hike in the peace and quiet of Allen County’s woodland gem, Kendrick Woods. Hot chocolate and tea will be provided.

TRI-MORAINE AUDUBON SOCIETY: PHOTO SAFARI
On Tues., Jan. 7 at 6:30 p.m. TRI-MORAINE AUDUBON SOCIETY will offer PHOTO SAFARI at the OSU VISITOR CENTER (4240 Campus Dr., Lima, OH).
Did you go on any trips in the past year? Do you have any photos to share? Maybe you’d like to see other nature lover’ photos? Come share you photos of places you have been and critters you have seen! Join us for food, friendship, ad sharing of where you have been in touch with nature during the last year.

WINTER “WANDER”LAND
On Sat., Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. THE JOHNNY APPLESEED METROPOLITAN PARK DISTRICT will offer WINTER “WANDER”LAND at HERMON WOODLANDS (485 N. Wapak Rd. Elida, OH).
Winter is the perfect time to wander the trails and reflect on the serenity of the season. As woodland critters rest and recharge, we’ll slow down to experience nature at their pace. This interpretive sensory hike for adults and families will be 1 mile or less on easy to moderate terrain. Dress for the weather and trail conditions.

WINTER WELLNESS CLUB:JOGGING WITH JOHNNY
On Mon., Jan. 13 at 5:00 p.m. THE JOHNNY APPLESEED METROPOLITAN PARK DISTRICT will offer JOGGING WITH JOHNNY at the OTTAWA METRO PARK (2632 Ada Rd., Lima, OH).
It’s “snow” much fun to get fit with a Johnny Appleseed accountabilibuddy! Join Naturalist Lindsey for a warm-up walk and a few laps around Ottawa Metro Park. All ages and abilities welcome in their fitness journey. Choose a pace that is comfortable for you. Dress for the weather and come out rain or shine!

WINTER PARTY
On Wed., Jan. 15 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., THE JOHNNY APPLESEED METROPOLITAN PARK DISTRICT will offer a WINTER PARTY at the MCELROY ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION CENTER (2355 Ada Rd., Lima, OH).
Take some time to unwind this season by enjoying critters and crafts. Be prepared for fun with winter-themed crafts, and animals to keep you company while you do them. This is a free event open to people of all ages, with stations and materials provided to participate at your own pace.
