LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Area residents will have the opportunity to view the world through the lens of local photographers during the opening of ArtSpace/Lima’s annual juried photography show.

The exhibition will feature 126 photographs taken by amateur photographers and displayed across four galleries. The collection includes portraits, landscapes, still lifes and a wide range of photographic styles and subjects. The annual juried show is one of the few opportunities at ArtSpace/Lima where local artists are able to have their work displayed in a professional gallery setting.

Juried Photography Show showcases regional talent at ArtSpace/Lima

Sally Windle, executive director of ArtSpace/Lima, said the show highlights both regional talent and strong photographic work from beyond the immediate area.

"The nice thing for this show is we do honor the region's people who are around here that feel like here's a gallery for them and an opportunity to show their work. So you're going to see some Lima people here. You'll also see people from around the region, but we try to honor the best work from anywhere, so we don't put any parameters on it, but you're going to see some pretty great work."

The opening reception will be held Saturday, Jan. 17, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at ArtSpace/Lima. The event is free and open to the public.
