Press Release from Kessler Estates Senior Living: Kessler Estates has partnered with Chief Haines from the American Township Police Department and will be holding an informative presentation for seniors titled Identity Theft: Ways to Protect Yourself. The Purpose of the presentation is to educate seniors on recognizing fraud so that they can avoid being scammed.
Senior citizen identity theft is a growing problem in the area. Scammers are making it extremely difficult for seniors to differentiate between what is real and what is fraudulent. Scammers see the elderly as perfect targets: in general, they are trusting, not quite as technologically savvy, and often have large savings or retirement accounts. In lieu of the rising number of cases happening in the area, this partnership was formed to help educate our area seniors on what to be on the look out for.
The Presentation will be held on February 9th at 10:30 am at Kessler Estates Senior Living 2075 N. Eastown Road. RSVPs are welcome and can be done by calling 419-331-2442. This is a community event and Kessler Estates is extending the invite to anyone that feels that they can benefit from this important topic! We hope you will join us!
