After nearly 26 years, Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce president Jed Metzger is retiring.
An open house retirement party was held Wednesday at the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce office for people to drop by and say goodbye to Jed as he enters the next chapter in his life. Many guests were in attendance, from Jed's everyday co-workers to people he has worked with over his many years in the city of Lima and Allen County.

Jed has been a popular name and face in the Allen County area, and on days like today, being surrounded by friends and colleagues, it's a reminder of why he's done the work he has for so many years.
"It's really humbling. So it's been a good journey, a long journey. It's been an exciting journey. Anytime that you can do something to impact our small businesses, or large businesses, the community itself, and just that connection piece. I mean that's one of the things I'd do a lot was connecting people to different, other people or different resources that they would need so that they would be successful. So it's been fun," said Jed Metzger, retiring president & CEO of the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce.
Jed has been a popular name and face in the Allen County area, and on days like today, being surrounded by friends and colleagues, it's a reminder of why he's done the work he has for so many years.
Metzger will be helping assist the new Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce president, Joshua Unterbrink, in his onboarding process as well as be in a part-time background advisory role in the future.
