LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Lima Building and Construction Trades is celebrating a successful year with the people who helped make it possible.

The organization hosts an annual appreciation event to thank industry owners, managers, contractors and members of the public who employ its approximately 2,500 craftspeople across northwest Ohio. Leaders say 2025 has been a strong year for the building trades, with numerous projects keeping members busy throughout the region.

“Everybody's super busy. There's a lot of hours being put in, and our members are out there working hard. We're always looking for applicants to our apprenticeship programs, so that's always a challenge. But if anybody's interested our apprentices are always hiring,” said Brad Wendel, president of the Lima Building and Construction Trades.
