A local childhood cancer survivor is continuing to spread awareness and hope in the community.
Lauren Cunningham was diagnosed in 2014 and she's been doing all she can to help others affected by the disease. This time, she's recruited the Builders Club at South to help her make cards for friends diagnosed. Students involved met this morning in hopes that their cards can have a positive impact on children fighting cancer.
"Some of them, they might feel sad and like they might not be able to get through it. But it's just to help them like move on and realize that like people care about them." shares Hailey Hahn, an 8th grader.
These students will continue to make cards for children affected by cancer throughout the school year.
