The Lima Fire Department was able to save a house from catching on fire after an RV went up in flames in the backyard.
Just before 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon, the Lima Fire Department was called out to the 500 block of Nye Street for a Winnebago that was engulfed in flames. According to fire officials, no one was in the vehicle when they arrived and they were able to put the fire out quickly. Firefighters did keep the fire from spreading to the nearby home, but it did suffer heat damage.
The fire investigator was called in to determine the cause.
