LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - An Elida man has been sentenced to prison time in the death of his 2-year-old daughter.
34-year-old Nicholas Stemen is facing 22 to 31 and half years in prison for the death of his daughter, Lillyanna, after she died in a car fire back in 2024. 19 of those years are mandatory. Stemen pleaded guilty to aggravated arson, involuntary manslaughter, and endangering children charges back in October as part of a plea deal that dropped one endangering children as well as a murder charge.
Back in September of 2024, Allen County deputies responded to a call of a car driving on the wheel rim. The car was on fire when they arrived on scene. Stemen had escaped the vehicle and law enforcement discovered Lillyanna's body in the back seat.
