LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Lima Fire Department is saying thank you to those who donated to their "Fill the Boot" campaign back in August.
Thanks to this year's "Fill the Boot," it was the largest donation they have ever made to the fight against muscular dystrophy.
Firefighters stood on the corner of North West Street and Robb Avenue, raising money for muscular dystrophy. Over August 8th, 9th, and 10th, $15,500 was donated by the public. The Lima Firefighters Local 334 donated an additional $500, making an even $16,000 being donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Thanks to this year's "Fill the Boot." it was the largest donation they have ever made to the fight against muscular dystrophy.
