LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Lima Memorial Foundation recently gave the public a closer look at how community donations impact the hospital. The foundation hosted a tour of the Women’s Health Center, highlighting the state-of-the-art facility and the services it provides.
Staff members spoke with attendees about offerings such as 3D mammography, oncology services, bone density scans, and more. The foundation’s contributions help fund improvements to equipment and services, and the tours allow the community to see firsthand how donations make a difference.
“I think services are constantly evolving and growing here at Lima Memorial, and so some people are just unaware of this great care they can get here in Lima. I think it's extremely important to share with the region the services that are offered here, especially for women,” said Ann Welly, Lima Memorial Foundation Emerging Philanthropist President and President of All Service Glass.
In addition to the Women’s Health Center, the foundation has organized tours of other hospital projects it has supported, including the cath lab, surgical suites, and rehabilitation facilities.
