If you've driven down Market Street towards Jameson Avenue recently you might have noticed a speed trailer. The Lima Police Department has placed a monitor along Market St. to let you know your speed as you drive by. Officials say they've had a number of accidents near the Market and Jameson intersection, so this is a way to remind drivers to slow down.
Starting next week they will have a larger police presence around that area to warn or ticket speeders. The speed for Jameson Ave. and Market St. is 35 miles per hour. The speed limit on Market drops down to 25 miles per hour near the hospital.
