The Lima Public Library has taken notice that attendance is up and it's time to make a change. A change in hours that is!
With more and more people coming into the library, they have gone back to pre-pandemic hours. They talked with patrons and found out people wanted to come in earlier and spend time in the library. People are once again using the computers, browsing through the books, and taking time to once again enjoy what the library has to offer.
"This summer has been a really good summer for us. We've had a lot of people coming in. People have seemed enthusiastic. They are careful but not frightened and it's been a really good summer for us. So we thought it was time," explained Karen Sommer, public relations at Lima Public Library.
The main library is now open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Branch library hours have also been changed. You can find the hours on the Lima Public Library's website at limalibrary.com.
