Lima Senior valedictorian wins car on Honors Night.

Graduating at the top of your class is one thing, but how about getting a new car to go along with that?

During the annual Honors Banquet at Lima Senior, around 220 students were recognized for their work in the classroom, this past year. But 18 students, who ranged from freshmen to seniors, were picked because of their combination of good grades, perfect attendance, and good behavior for a chance to win a rebuilt PT Cruiser. The students were eliminated by the luck of the draw and when it came down to two. Elizabeth Walter won the car. Walter is this year's valedictorian and the car is a great way to cap off a great school career.

"It just kind of brings it all to a closing, I got all of this hard work throughout my 4 years, it’s paid off and I won," said Elizabeth Walter, 12th grade, Lima Senior.

This is the second year that the school district has given a car away to a student. The car was donated to the school by the Tom Ahl Family of Dealerships.
