LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) —A Lima woman has pleaded guilty in a government benefits fraud case.

Chrystal McFadden, 35, entered a negotiated guilty plea Thursday to illegal use of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, a fourth-degree felony. Court records show McFadden was indicted by a grand jury in November and later arrested on a warrant. She had previously pleaded not guilty before reaching the agreement with prosecutors.

Her bond was reinstated following Thursday’s hearing. McFadden is scheduled to be sentenced April 13.
