ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force seized a large amount of money, drugs, and guns during a raid earlier this week.

With the help of the FBI's Northwest Ohio Safe Streets Task Force and the Allen County SWAT Team, they took 34-year-old Brandon Maitlen into custody, and he is being held in the Auglaize County Jail on a probation violation. 

On Tuesday, law enforcement served a search warrant at a home in the 3000 block of Allentown Road, where they arrested Maitlen. Then they served a second search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Bellwood Drive in Lima. Between the two search warrants, they found suspected cocaine, unidentified pills, nearly four pounds of marijuana, 27 firearms, and over 124 thousand dollars in cash. The case will be presented to the Allen County Grand Jury for possible additional charges.


June 27, 2024, Press Release from the Allen County Sheriff's Office: On June 25, 2024, the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force, in conjunction with the FBI’s Northwest Ohio Safe Streets Task Force and assisted by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. Team, executed a search warrant at a residence on the 3000 block of Allentown Road (Lima, Ohio). The resident, Brandon Maitlen (DOB 01-03-1990), was present and taken into custody on a probation violation. A second related search warrant was executed at a residence on the 100 block of Bellwood Drive (Lima, Ohio).

Through the two search warrants 55 grams of suspected cocaine, 3.84 pounds of marijuana, unidentified pills, 27 firearms, and approximately $124,760 in US currency were seized.

Maitlen is currently being held in Auglaize County Jail on a probation violation. Charges related to this investigation will be presented to the Allen County Grand Jury at a later date.
