A major donation to Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen kicks off their capital campaign.
Mercy Health Saint Rita’s donating $25,000 to the kitchen to help with any needs that they have. The money comes from the medical center’s “Management Leadership Group” that works on projects that fit their core mission of serving. Officials from Our Daily say they will use the donation for some remodeling of the facility including a second front entry and public showers.
Randy Kimpel is the director at Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen, and he shares this, “This is also going to help with our bathroom, our men’s room. We need to get new dividers and a new floor. Mercy Health has always been there. A great partner for us all year long.”
Mercy Health St. Rita’s VP of Mission Matt Etzkorn adds, “Our Daily Bread does such wonderful work in the community for many years, and it just aligned so well with our mission and values. Here at St. Rita’s, we’re all about the supporting of our community. Especially those who are poor or just vulnerable in any what that have needs.”
They hope to start the renovations at Our Daily Bread as soon as possible.
