ELIDA, Ohio (WLIO) — Miller City’s historic volleyball season came to an end Saturday in the Division VII regional championship, as the Wildcats fell to Tiffin Calvert in straight sets at Elida Fieldhouse.
In the opening set, the Wildcats battled early — Cloe Kuhlman powered home a kill, and senior libero Libby Erford delivered an ace — but Calvert pulled away to win it 25–17.
The Senecas, last year’s Division VII state runner-up, opened the second set on a 6–0 run before Ava Reichley stopped the surge with a kill. Still, Calvert stayed in control to take the second 25–10.
Miller City continued to show fight in the third, with Anna Schnipke recording a key block at the net, but the Senecas proved too strong down the stretch to secure the regional crown.
Tiffin Calvert captures the Division VII regional title in a three-set sweep — 25–17, 25–10, 25–22 — ending Miller City’s postseason just short of the state tournament.
