LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The City of Lima officially has its newest member of city council on board, and he's ready to hit the ground running. During their regular session Monday night, Thomas Jones took the oath of office to serve as Lima's Fifth Ward Councilor. Jones says he was born and raised in Lima and graduated from Temple Christian. He says he's excited to get to work for the people who live in his ward and the city. Councilman Jones’ says he's already thought about some plans for the Fifth Ward and is excited about all the new development in the city. Jones will serve out the remaining term of former fifth ward councilor Jamie Dixon, who vacated the seat after being elected as council president.
